The French automaker Renault recently said that it will unveil Renault Talisman, an all-new upper-range sedan at the upcoming 2012 Beijing Auto Show. The company spent 207 million euro (US$272 million) to develop the flagship Talisman in 32 months, aiming to make it the most important strategic model in the Chinese market.

The model is based on the Renault-Samsung SM7 introduced in South Korea last year, but great modifications have been made to cater to Chinese customers' taste and demands.

It features grand styling, spacious interior, luxury fittings, superb performance and full security, thanks to the state-of-the-art technologies enjoyed by Renault-Nissan Alliance. Like SM7, it may be powered by 2.5- and 3.5-liter V6s, with a total output of 187 hp and 254 hp, respectively. It will be made in South Korea and then shipped to China.
