What will the world's most dynamic cities be in 2025? A newly released list by Foreign Policy Magazine placed 30 of the world's 75 most dynamic cities in China by 2025. The United States had 13 and Brazil had 4.

Six Chinese cities made the list's top 10, and Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin claimed the top three places. All China's cities on the list have unique characteristics. For example, Tangshan has a robust iron and steel industry, and is building 21 furnaces this year, the output of which is expected to surpass that of US furnaces. Additionally, Shanghai's financial industry, Dongguan's manufacturing and Beijing's air transport sectors are expected to surpass their foreign rivals.

The report is based on McKinsey Global Institute's Cityscope database of 2,600 cities, and the index includes many aspects such as population and GDP per capita growth.
