Dalian (opening-up index: 66.36)

Situated at the tip of China's Liaodong Peninsular and surrounded by the waters of the Yellow Sea to the east and the Bohai Sea to the west and south, Dalian is one of northeast Asia’s major trading, financial and international shipping centers and logistics hubs. The city is China's northernmost warm water port. Dalian was one of 14 coastal cities earmarked to open to the outside world in 1984.
