China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, or Sinopec Limited, is a Chinese oil and gas company based in Beijing. It is listed in Hong Kong and also trades in Shanghai and New York. Sinopec is the world's fifth biggest company by revenue. In August 2013, Sinopec acquired a 33 percent stake in Apache Corporation's oil and gas business in Egypt for US$3.1 billion.
