Top 10 regions with highest private sector salaries

Beijing is by far the leader in terms of private sector salaries. Employees of private enterprises in the capital enjoyed an average annual salary of 52,902 yuan (US$8,523) last year. Guangdong Province ranked second and Chongqing Municipality came in third, with average annual salaries of 41,295 yuan (US$6,653) and 40,139 yuan (US$6,466) respectively.

Data from 11 regions of China – Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shandong, Yunnan, Shanghai, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Tibet Autonomous Region – have not yet been disclosed.

The following are the top 10 Chinese regions with the highest private sector salaries in 2014.
