For the seventh time in a decade, Google, now a subsidiary of Alphabet, has topped Fortune magazine's latest annual ranking of the 100 best companies to work for in 2016.

Google offers its employees an agreeable working environment and high compensation. It has a long list of perks, including three organic meals a day, unlimited snacks, breast-cancer screenings, free personal-fitness classes and on-site oil changes.

The company is followed by ACUITY Insurance and the Boston Consulting Group. ACUITY Insurance features high salaries and a good work-to-life balance, while the Boston Consulting Group has introduced a scalable work-life balance system, based on the principles of predictability, teamwork and open communication (also known as PTO), to help increase work predictability and career sustainability.

The list, established in 1998, ranks a wide range of American companies across different industries.
