The Central Conservatory of Music is a mecca for the musically inclined, and it charges a lot. In addition to tuition fees, the preparation for the entrance exams is expensive as well. Accommodation, transportation, attending classes and renting piano rooms generally costs a student more than 14,000 yuan (US$2,135) a month.
