Thallium poisoning case of Zhu Ling

Zhu Ling was the victim of an unsolved 1995 thallium poisoning case in Beijing. She started to feel abdominal pain from November of 1994 and then her hair started to fall off. However, hospital couldn't discern the reason. Her friends posted her symptoms on the Internet, drawing many responses that this was a typical symptom of thallium poisoning, which was proved correct. However, Zhu missed the best time for treatment and suffered serious neurological damage and permanent physical impairment. This case drew great domestic media attention because the victim and the main suspect were living in the same dormitory in the most prestigious university of China. However, nothing could be proved.
