The demand of preventive supplies surged from the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to quality-related law violations and consumers' complaints.

According to CCA and the data center for public opinion of People.cn, problems emerged in five aspects, including the sales of counterfeit masks, mask-related fraud on WeChat, surging prices of preventive supplies, product bundling and other bad business practices, as well as delayed deliveries.

Public opinion analysis showed a series of supervising campaigns launched by the authorities could help safeguard market order. It is agreed that consumers associations of all levels have made more efforts to resolve dispute, and protect consumer's lawful rights. Consumers also urged E-commerce platforms to take their corporate social responsibility and build more integrity.
