China University Rankings is an annual list of China's top universities by research team China University Assessment.

Wu Shulian 

The research team, led by Wu Shulian, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Management Science, was established in 1992 and they have been publishing the university rankings for 18 years.

This year, the team examines 706 universities in China on a wide array of indicators, including student cultivation and research programs.

Apart from an overall ranking, the research team also published rankings of universities in about 11 subjects and more than 200 majors, which has commended a lot of public attention and serves as a guide for high school students when choosing a university.

In this year's overall rankings, Zhejiang University, number three in last year, took first place with 207.91 points. Peking University received 200.34 points, holding onto second place. Tsinghua University, once champion for 14 years, fell to third place with 190.25 points.
