Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Train Beijing to Lhasa(Set out in the evening of the first day). Take Train T27, depart from Beijing on 21:30. Cities you will go through today are Beijing/Shijiazhuang/Lanzhou/Xian. Overnight on the train, soft sleeper berth.

Day 2: On the train. Today, you will arrive in Xining City in the afternoon, the first train station of Qinghai-Tibet railway. Then turn north ahead to Lhasa. Overnight on the train, soft sleeper berth.

Day 3: Wonderful window excursion along Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Arrive in Lhasa in the evening of the third day). Today's train travel is the most wonderful section of Qinghai-Tibet railway, you will see land of snows, desert, grassland, ice mountain and travel along the lakeside which will strongly go to your heart. Arrive in Lhasa in the evening. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa City Tour

Visiting Potala Palace and Jokhang monastery and Barkhor street. In the morning section, you are going to visit the famous Patala palace, which is the land mark of lhasa and is recently considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The potala palace is divided into two different parts that is red and white palace. Afternoon section, visiting Jokhang temple, built mainly for the “Jowoe” bring along with princess Wencheng from Xi’an during Tang dyansty and is grouped into world cultural heritage list by the UNESCO. Then exploring the famous old barkhor street, enjoy shopping traditional Tibetan things around the street. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa City Tour

Visiting Norbulingka and Drepung monastery. Norbulingkha is Tibetan word refers to “treature garden” lies at western supurbs of lhasa with 2km from Potala palace is listed as the world cultural heritage by the UNESCO. The norbulingkha is called summer palace and built by the seventh Dalai lama in mid 18th century. Later then the successive dalai lamas studied and stay during summer time. Afternoon section visiting Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. The monastery is divided into two different colleges that is Drepung loselling and Drepung Gomang college. The Ganden podrang is famous among them as it is the government centre during fifth Dalai lama and later moved to the famous Potala palace during fifth Dalai lama.

Day 6: Lhasa/Gyantse

Driving towards Yamdrok-tso and Gyantse Kumbhum monastery (300km) running through a black asphalt highway. It is better to leave early in the morning and in about one and half hourway, there is a county called “chushor”quxu in chinese where have to move towards the lhokha(shannan) prefecture. A few kilometers from chushor is famous pass kangpa-la with 4700m.from the top of the pass in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep torquoise. Yamdrok - yutso is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Far in the distance is the huge massif of mount Nanchan kangtsang(7191m). Just a few kilometrers driving through the shore of lake yamdrok-yutso reches Nangartse county and is the largest town on the lake side and popular stop for the night. Leaving yamdrok-tso is a spectacular as arrriving, since you have to cross the 4960m karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier. It was here that Younghusband’s british troops clashed with Tibetan forces en route to Lhasa. Then reached to our day’s final destination Gyantse. Taking a good rest in yours reserved hotel

Day 7: Gyantse/Shigatse

Visiting the unique Tashi Lhunpo monastery(90km), driving through black smooth tar road. Morning section for Kubum monastery is the town’s foremost attraction. The 35m-high chorten(stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like goldendome, is awe-inspiring.you can visit every chambers in the monastery. Kubum means 100,000 images in Tibetan. Then experince the life of common tibetan people’s life around the town and also the Gyantse fort. Then moving towards the shigatse city. After finished up yours lunch, you can visit the famous Tashi lhunpo monastery and is one of the the six great Gelukpa institutions and was founded in 1447 by a disciple of Tsongkapa, Genden drup who was first dalai lama. Jamkhang Chenmo, containing the world’s largest gilded copper image(26m high) of future god Jampa. Then in evening you can visit the famous tibetan market below the shigatse Zong.

Day 8: Shigatse/Sakya

Driving towards Sakya monastery and rest a night there(148km) with very good road condition. Advancing towards the Sakya county where you can visit to the Sakya monastery. On the way you will cross the Tso la pass(4410m) and on the long descent from this pass, the Sakya bridge is visible in the distance. The sakya county is 21km from the friendship highway. The Sakya tridition is one of the four main Buddhist schools in Tibet. It was from here that the whole of Tibet was governed during the period of Sakya hegemony and even now there are buildings of historic importance to be seen here. You can see the largest book in the world in Sakya’s great library written in gold. The most interesting thing in Sakya sect is that the sect donot believe in reincarnation and the head of sakya sect will wear white cassock and also marry to birth their child for next generation. Take a good rest the in Sakya hotel.

Day 9: Sakya / Rongpuk Monastery / Everest Base Camp

Driving direct towards the Mount Everest base camp(315km)with good road condition Tingri and then rough road up to mount Everest. Actually there is There is nothing good to see on the way to mount Everest base camp. But after reaching Shekar, your guide will take you to buy entrance ticket from San chen guesthouse in shekar with 4oo yuan per jeep and 180 yuan per person. You can take your lunch from here and drive direct to Everest base camp.

Day 10: Rongpuk Monastery/Dham

Forwards to Dham and rest a night there(239km), the road condition is very worse with rough bumpy road. Now a days it is under repairing. The road condition is pretty good as compare to Ali but is still a rough bumpy road from Old Dingri upto Nyalan and then have very good asphalt road a couple of kilometers from Nyalam to Dham(border between nNepal and Tibet) seperated by a bridge called “friendship bridge” Other than mount Everest, you can also see the famous mount “Shishabangma”(8012m) after crossing Nyalam Thongla pass.

Day 11: Dham direct to katmandu(120km) with asphalt road link direct to Nepal’s capital city Katmandu. Our Guide will drop you off at next morning at the border bridge, the Nepal Guide will come to China Side to pick you up in person, Please do not leave your Tibet tour guide until you meet the next guide.

Zhangmu is a very cute border town at around 2400m above sea level,after having breakfast, our guide will accompany you to China Exit Border Office in Zhangmu to regisiter and stamp your leaving. then drive you towards to border bridge. Our vehicle will stop at 50m away from border bridge where the China side border check office is. The Nepal tour guide will go cross the border bridge to China side which is 50ms long to meet you, then you follow the nepal tour guide to check in Nepal side, then drive you to Kathmandu

End the tour at Kathmandu, if you want a further trip in Nepal,please feel free to inform us, we will arrange as well.
