Your Itinerary:

Day 1: Beijing to Lhasa. Been pick up from Beijing hotel, transfer to Beijing airport (or train station), fly to by train to Lhasa, been pick up from Lhasa airport or train station, been transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Lhasa city view. Potala, religio-political center of Old Tibet; Jokhang, final destination of all sects; and Norbulinkha, Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 3: Lhasa-Xigatse. The distance from Lhasa to Xigatse is 400 km, arrive Xigatze (3800 m), the capital of Rear Tibet, via Yamzho Yun Tso, the sacred lake, Gyantse (3900 m), the typical Tibetan town. Visits to Pelkor Chode (built in 1418) and Shalu (built in 998). Check-in at Shenghu Hotel or alike. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 4: Shigatse-Tingri. Visit to Tashilhumpo, Panchan Lama’s seat, 260 km ride to Tingri (4500 m), where a nice view of Mount Cho Oyu (8150 m), Everest (8848 m) and Lhotse (8516 m) is beheld. Guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 5: Tingri-Rongbuk. About 100 km from Tingri drive to Rongbuk (built in 1899, 4980 m high). 9 km yak cart ride by to Base Camp (5200 m). Guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 6: Rongbuk-Sakya. From Rongbuk about 160km ride to Sakya (built in 1073, 4200 m high), the premier monastery of Grey Sect or Sakya in Tibetan. Guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 7: Sakya-Lhasa. From Sakya about 450 km ride to Lhasa (3700 m), back to your hotel. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 8: Lhasa city view. Visit to Drepung (built in 1416, the largest of all) and Sera (built in 1419), both subject to Gelik. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 9: Lhasa-Reting. 60 km ride to Ganden (built in 1409, 3800 m high), the premier monastery of Yellow Sect or Geluk in Tibetan. Ride-on 65 km to Reting (built in 1056) Guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 10: Reting-Trupu. 65 km ride to Nam Co (4718 m), by which stands Mount Nyainqentanglha (7114 m), the Holy Mountain of the whole northern tribes. Afternoon ride-on 320 km to Tsurpu (built in 1185, 4300 m high), the premier monastery of White Sect or Karma Kagyu in Tibetan. Guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 11: Trupu-Tsethang. 2 hour ride to Songkha Ferry, 1.5 hour boating across Yarluzangbo and 0.5 hour ride to Samye (built in 8th century), the premier monastery of Red Sect or Nyingma in Tibtan. Afternoon ride to Tsetang Town (3551 m) and check-in at Longma Hotel or Yulong Hotel or Post Hotel according to reservation. Tsetang is the cradle of Tibetan civilization. 12 km ride to Yumbulagang (built in 2nd century B.C), 1st Tibetan King’s Castle Via Trandruk Monastery (built in 7th century, subject to Geluk now), in which Pearl Thangkha is kept. Day 12: Lhasa-Airport or Railway, back to Beijing. Includes: (B).
