Traveling between two dreamy holiday resorts in southwest China's Yunnan province has just become more time efficient.

The Dali-Lijiang Railway opened for business on September 28.

The journey time between Dali and Lijiang will be shortened from four hours by bus to less than an hour and a half by train.

There are 13 train stations along the line, including Dali, Heqing, Renhe and Lijiang. Along the Dali-Lijiang railway there are rich tourism and cultural resources such as the ancient city of Dali, Cangshan mountain, Erhai sea and the ancient city of Lijiang.
