The Maya Island, China's supposed first museum-style hotel, an investment of Advanced Business Park (China) Holdings Group, has had its soft opening in Beijing, and is expected to officially open in April 2010.

Situated at the Advanced Business Park in Fengtai District, Beijing, The Maya Island consists of Sun Palace, Moon Palace and other function areas. Boasting 199 guestrooms and suites, it also has a ballroom and three multi-function rooms for various-sized meetings, events, banquets, and parties.

The hotel also has Chinese, Western, and Japanese restaurants to serve different dishes for guests. Other facilities include a bar, swimming pool, spa, tennis court, gym, and a beauty care center.

ABP's board chairman Xu Weiping said The Maya Island can not only meet the demand of business travelers, but also engage guests in the mysteries and essence of Mayan culture.
