The Quanjude Beijing International Food Festival was held on Oct. 28, 2009, at Wangfujing, one of the busiest shopping streets in Beijing. More than ten foreign-taste restaurants displayed their cuisines during the festival, presenting the guests with a banquet that was as much for the eyes as it was for the palate.

The festival, hosted by the Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant, was organized by the China Cuisine Association and the Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges.

Quanjude, founded in 1864, is one of the most renowned roast duck restaurants in China. After more than a century's worth of development, it has formed its own style of cooking, represented by its signature Quanjude Roast Duck and all-duck banquet, as well as more than 400 special dishes. Now, Quanjude and its cooking style have become an important part of Chinese cuisine culture and enjoy a high reputation both home and abroad.
