Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration has signed a strategic partnership agreement in Taipei with Taiwan's EVA Air to promote the 2010 World Expo and tourism in the Yangtze River Delta.

EVA Air will lay out a concept cabin in a 747-400 aircraft with the visual design of the service accessories coming from images of the Taiwan Pavilion and the mainland China Pavilion at the Expo. A series of reports will be published on EVA Air's cabin magazines, and promotional videos will also be played in EVA Air's aircraft.

SMTA and EVA Air will hold joint promotional events in Taiwan and North America. Various tourist products featuring the Expo and Jiangnan scenery developed by the two parties will be shown to the marketplace in the first quarter of 2010.

Currently EVA Air and Uni Air from the Evergreen Group have a total of 50 flights to 14 destinations in the mainland, of which 24 are to Shanghai, Hangzhou, or Ningbo.
