Outside the stadium, a group of children were painting in the park beside the stadium, and egrets flew over the lake that is located in the middle of the park. I walked past slowly, in order not to disturb this quiet, beautiful scene.

Later I went to Kaohsiung Arena Station, which is one of Kaohsiung City's prime pieces of real estate and home to many restaurants, malls and shops.

In the Hanshin Arena Store, I found several shops full of Japanese products at cheaper prices. The youngsters today in Taiwan love Japanese items very much.

I took a rest in the store before heading to the Central Park Station. The central park is surrounded by several main roads, making it a good leisure place for local residents. Families play in the park on a wonderful Saturday afternoon. The Taiwanese know how to enjoy life and they like to spend time with families. Sunday is a public holiday on which many shops are closed.
