The tomb of the wife of General Zhou Yu is located in a courtyard northwest to Yueyang Tower by Dongting Lake. Xiao Qiao was described as a great beauty and the wife of Zhou, who was a general of the Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period.

Xiao's tomb used to be the garden of Zhou's residence. The building around the tomb is made of brick and wood, and covered with cyan glaze, which is typical Jiangnan style. The tomb is tranquil with trees and flowers around it and two shrubs at the tomb. There is a stone tablet about 1 meter high in front of the tomb, which has four Chinese characters carved on it that say "Xiao Qiao's tomb".

The tomb was repaired twice in 1797 and 1881 AD. In 1993, a house was built south of the tomb. Facing the gate of the house, there is a screen wall with carvings of Song Dynasty poet Su Dongpo's handwriting of his own poem that has the meaning, "How successful Zhou Yu was when Xiao Qiao married him!"

Nowadays, Xiao Qiao's tomb is a popular attraction for those fascinated with stories about the Three Kingdoms period.
