China's low-cost airline Spring Airlines has announced it will launch the Kunming-Huaihua-Shanghai round-trip air route from January 6, 2010.

According to Zhang Lei, the marketing director of Spring Airlines, there will be one flight each day departing from Kunming Wujiaba Airport at 12:45 and reach Shanghai Pudong Airport at 14:10. The return flight will take off at 19:15 and get to Kunming at 231:45.

This will be the third route of Spring Airlines from Kunming to Shanghai, including the Kunming-Changde-Hongqiao and Kunming-Nanchang-Hongqiao routes. Thanks to Yunnan's rich tourism resources, the good regional flight conditions and its location advantages of neighboring Southeast Asia and South Asia, Spring Airlines has chosen Kunming as its major destination in southwestern China.
