Air China resumes daily flight between Lhasa, Chongqing

Air China resumed its daily flight on Wednesday between Lhasa, capital of Tibet, and Chongqing Municipality in southwest China as the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Tibetan New Year are approaching.

Meanwhile, the airline has also added one more flight between Lhasa and Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The company adopted the winter-spring flight schedule on Oct. 25 last year, with the daily flight between Lhasa and Chongqing available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday only.

Tickets with a 30-perent discount are available at the ticket hall of the Tibet Branch Company of Air China, according a staff of the branch office.

The schedule for the most popular fight, Lhasa-Chengdu flight, during the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 14, will be announced next week, said a manager of the Lhasa Sales Office of the Tibet Branch Company.

Now tickets from Lhasa-Chengdu flights can be bought at a 20-percent discount.

According to the manager, the number of Lhasa-Chongqing flights and Lhasa- Chengdu flights will increase in the case of more passengers during the Chinese New Year festival.
