As an experimental area of the national tourism reform, Hainan will be given priority in implementing the policies of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) in accordance with the State Council plan, said Du Jiang, vice director of the CNTA at a press conference yesterday in Hainan.

Tourism is the pillar industry of Hainan Province and China National Tourism Administration has attached great importance to the development of the tourism industry of the island, said Du.

As one of the organizers of the BOAO International Tourism Forum, CNTA has been one of the contributors to Hainan’s tourism promotion plan, which was officially announced by the State Council in January, said Du, pledging to give more support to Hainan in funds and talents to develop it into an international tourism destination.,

According to Du, CNTA will also help Hainan to develop the international tourism market.
