Tibet's airports cancelled second-time security checks for passengers from April 1, according to the Tibet Civil Aviation Administration.

All the airports in the region, such as the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, Nyingchi Millington Airport and Qamdo Bangda Airport, began to carry out the new measure on Thursday. The second-time security check was imposed to ensure the safety during the Spring Festival travel rush.

Now passengers have to go through regular security checks only before boarding planes.
