AirAsia had offered special fares for UK-bound passengers stranded in Asia in the wake of the flight disruptions due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. Anyone with a ticket to Europe who could not fly because of closed skies was eligible to buy a trip for just 99 ringgit ($30) on any of the carrier's flights within Asia.
