Belonging to Chile, Easter Island is the most isolated place on earth. The closest land is nearly 418km away.

Tourists can arrive at this eccentric island from mainland Chile or Tahiti by air. The island is best-known for its ancient statues, or moai, of which exist nearly for 900 years.
