Mianyang Tourism Association and the Taipei Association of Travel Agents have become the latest parties to sign a framework agreement on cross-strait tourism cooperation.

The agreement was signed during a recent exchange activity between Sichuan and Taiwan.

According to the agreement, travel agencies in both cities will be mutual local agencies for each other to promote the other's featured travel itineraries and boutique scenic spots. TATA will help Mianyang to promote its Three Kingdoms culture, Wenchang culture, Li Bai culture, and Yu Qiang culture to Taiwanese tourists.

Mianyang has had a close relationship with Taiwan in its economy, trade, technology, culture and tourism in recent years, and Taiwan is now the largest inbound source market for Mianyang.
