Mainland visits to Hong Kong to grow by 40%

According to industry analysts, the number of Chinese mainland tourists to Hong Kong is expected to hit a new high in the period from mid-July 2010 to the end of August 2010.

In the summer of 2010, the number of mainlanders traveling to Hong Kong will increase by 40% compared to the previous year. The number of tour groups will hit 200 per day and will total 6,000 per month.

The increasing number individual tourist has become the major source of mainland tourists, while the number of family groups and students groups will also increase.
