The annual Frankfurt Book Fair drew to a close on Sunday. And Chinese publishers reaped a big crop of contracts during the world's biggest book event.

This year China sold nearly 2,700 copyrights to foreign countries.

Chinese exhibitors have extended their good marks at the Frankfurt Book Fair seen from consecutive years. Among the titles popular among international buyers was "The Great Chinese Gardens." The book set a new selling record among Chinese art albums sold overseas with versions in six languages and totaling 35,000 copies ordered.

Some Chinese publishers have also made mergers during the fair, such as China Publishing Group, which signed a contract with a company from UK, bringing the Group's total overseas subsidiaries to thirty. This kind of merger can facilitate Chinese books going overseas.

From organizing content, to translation, the books will be more smoothly tailored to foreign readers' needs.
