Lijiang, Yunnan

Located in the northwestern portion of Yunnan and bordering Sichuan, Lijiang Old Town is known as the Romantic Capital of the Orient. The old town of Lijiang has a history of more than 800 years. Once it was a confluence on the old tea horse road. The town is noted for the orderly designed waterways, bridges, ancient wooden houses and folk culture. Today, there are a great number of bars and pubs in the town. They are built with strong ethnic or foreign flavor. The hauntingly scene makes backpackers fantasize a casual encounter.

Tips: visitors are suggested to bring enough clothes as the temperature difference falls sharply in the night.
