There are a large number of churches with English sessions in Shanghai. You are well suggested to bring along your passport (as many only allow foreign passport holders to attend) and you'd better to confirm their service time as they are usually subject to changes.
St. Ignatius Cathedral
Located in the bustling Xujiahui district, St. Ignatius Cathedral is the largest cathedral in the city. Built in 1910 by the French Shanghai Construction Company, it was once regarded as the most marvelous Catholic Church in the far East. Measuring 80 meters high, it is built in Gothic style. There are two 50-meter tall bell towers on its northern and southern edges. It can hold 2,500 worshippers.
