Inside the garden-like Tianfu Hot Spring Hotel, Zhougongshan Hot Spring is exploited from 3,000 meters under earth.

Provincial natural reserve, Mt. Haizi and National Forest Park Mt. Wawu, both on the way to Daocheng, a well-known unspoiled natural beauty.

How to get there:

Buses run from Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, to Yaan, every half hour.

Ticket: 48 yuan.

Or rent a car in Chengdu. It's 145 km between Chengdu to Yaan, 40 yuan for toll. Then it takes about 40 minutes from Yaan to Wangyu ancient town.

Gourmet food:

Besides the most famous local delicacy, Yayu fish, fresh bamboo shoots are worth a taste. Preserved meat and braised chicken are savory dishes with strong local flavors.

Accommodation:

There are two hostels neighboring each other inside the ancient town, namely Wangyushi Hostel, and Qingshiban Hostel.
