Tourism industry in quake-hit Wenchuan cheers up

The Wenchuan Earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008 badly hurt the tourism industry of Dujiangyan City, which is featured by an irrigation infrastructure built in 256 B.C. and ancient temples. After efforts of reconstruction, the city's tourism industry cheers up with 11.593 million tourists visiting here in 2010, up 20 percent year-on-year, and tourism income up 21 percent to 5.09 billion yuan RMB (about 782 million US dollars).
