Located in Zhifang Town, Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province, Jiaxiang Wu Family shrines cemetery complex (嘉祥武氏墓群石刻) was built in the Heng and Ling Reign in the Eastern Han Dynasty (147~189). The shrine is one of the best-preserved of China's stone carving shrines. It features a couple of stone towers and stone lions, two stone tablets and four stone carvings. [Photo Gallery]

The interior of the structures which comprised the shrines were completely covered, across the walls and the ceilings, with magnificent carved reliefs. The reliefs depict scenes of everyday life, including those that exemplify Confucius's teachings.
