Located in Yixian County, Hebei Province, Yan State sub-capital (燕下都遗址) was built in 311 BC. It was the largest capital during the Warring States Period, and was eight kilometers east to west and four kilometers north to south. A wall divided the city into two parts: eastern city and western city.

The eastern city comprised of a palace, residential area, handicraft industries, cemeteries and a river. Large amounts of cultural relics can be found here.
