Three-kilometers away, Mount Fanjing is home to a National Nature Reserve and was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1986. It also brings customers to Yang's restaurant.

The mountain is home to the rare Guizhou snub-nosed monkey and also a sacred Buddhist place of worship.

"We have special blessing ceremonies on Mount Fanjing during the Spring Festival holiday," said He Xingrong, a local publicity official of Jiangkou county.
