China.org.cn, January 4, 2011 Print E-mail

Church music, as the name denotes, refers to the Koran passages and hymns sung by Muslims in various religious activities. It developed from traditional Islamic music. Devout Muslims worship five times every day by singing sonorously, which, together with the hymns used in important Muslim events and festivals, forms distinctive church music.
