Tian Ze Lu 天泽路

Chaoyang 朝阳

Inconspicuous Tian Ze Lu hides some of the most useful, and interesting, shops in Beijing. The most famous is the Women's Market (Nu Ren Jie). It is a little grubby, but offers cheap clothing and shoes in unusual styles. It is geared towards Chinese buyers, so larger sizes are difficult to find. It is tucked away behind the conspicuous Flower Market down a set of stairs. The top floor is a huge golfing equipment store while the basement is a treasure trove of Chinese furniture, home wares and decorations. Outside and opposite the entrance to the Women's Market are food stalls and a hotpot restaurant. To the right of the Flower Market it is a small parking area and an O-Mart stationery store. Across the street is Super Bar Street, which, as its name might suggest, features many international and Chinese restaurants and bars. There is also a second-hand electronics market, which is a great place to buy reconditioned mobile phones. Shops are open from 09:00 to 18:00.
