Recommended Routes

1. By Ancient Path

Start from the east gate of the Fragrant Hills and turn left to reach the Jingcui Lake. Walk through the Cuiwei Pavilion, the Shuangqing Villa and the Fragrant Hills Temple to get to the ancient path by which emperors climbed to appreciate sceneries of the mountain. Walk along the path up to the top of the mountain, the best place for tourists to view the red leaves. It takes around one hour and a half to reach the top.

2. By Cableway

It only takes 17 minutes by taking cableway from the north gate of the Fragrant Hills to the top of the mountain, where tourists can have a panoramic view of the red leaves carpeting the mountain.
