Macao to lure more tourists from Vietnam, Indonesia

The Macau Government Tourist Office is cooperating with Viva Macau to promote Macau tourism and further expand in Southeast Asian source market.

The two parties have hold a series of tour promotion activities in Vietnam and Indonesia and hope to attract more tourists from the two countries to visit Macau.

Viva Macau Airlines is currently the only airline offering round-trip flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta to Macau. Tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta only take two or five hours to arrive at Macau by air.

According to statistics, for the first six months of this year, Macau welcomed a total of over 77,000 inbound tourists from Indonesia with a growth rate of 69.2%; while visitor arrivals from Vietnam reached 32,000, representing an increase of 67.25%.
