Qingdao International Beach Festival has been held 18 times since its establishment in 1992.

Qingdao is a popular tourist city for its beaches. Reputed to be the largest sandy beach in Asia, the No.1 Bathing Beach is noted for its clear water, mild waves and soft sand. The festival takes place at this beautiful beach.

It has many activities, including beach volleyball, judo, tug-of-war, singing contest and martial arts, which has attracted so many Chinese and foreigners every year.
