In the co-host city of Qinhuangdao in north China's Hebei province an anti-terror drill was held on Wednesday morning.

The city is set to hold several football matches, and the drill concerned possible post-match rioting. The angry football fans were soon separated into several groups by armed police.

The successful drill increased people's confidence in the security measures for the Olympics.
