American Chinese artist donates US$7.14m to help others

Above all, Cui Ruzhuo admires John Pierpont Morgan and Bill Gates. He decided to follow in the footsteps of Bill Gates, founder and former CEO of Microsoft, who gave all of his $58 billion fortune to charity rather than leaving it to his children.

"I like him. Mr. Gates will devote the rest of his life to benevolence and I want to follow him. He is my example and my hero," said Cui.

What he has learned from Bill Gates is that life is a long process, demanding constant learning, hard work, and tireless striving.

"Life is not easy. It is full of smiles and tears, flowers and sweat, happiness and sadness. That's the truth of our lives," he said.
