A group of teenage Chinese aspiring journalists has been welcomed by the speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives, Yohei Kono, who is also the director of the Supporting Beijing Olympics Association.

Kono received his guests at his official residence and answered questions concerning the Olympics, environmental protection as well as youth exchanges between both countries. He said Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, will attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. And Kono also conveyed a friendly message to the host city.

Yohei Kono said, "I send my best wishes for the success of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games! The Games don't only belong to Beijing, but to the whole of Asia as well. Japan offers its full support to Beijing. And I believe the Beijing Olympic Games will be a success."
