Stage performances and outdoor cultural activities will ensure a lively atmosphere in Beijing for the Olympic Games. There'll be plenty of choice for activities to take in at night.

A hundred-and-fifty-seven performing troupes will fill the bill at the Olympic festival. Most of the performers are from China. Other countries are also sending their best to perform on the Olympic stage.

Beijing theatres will feature performances of many of China's regional operas. There are dance, stage drama, pop concerts and acrobatics. Twenty six outdoor events are being presented in parks and plazas free of charge.
