Two men are in custody after a violent attack on border police in China's westernmost city of Kashgar, in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The pair have been identified as Uygur men aged 28 and 33. The attackers were detained on the spot after at least 16 police officers were killed and 16 others hurt.
