China and Sweden tied 1-1 at halftime. Striker Xu Yuan put China ahead in the 6th minute before Sweden equalized in the 38th minute with a goal from striker Lotta Schelin.

A superb combination from the Chinese side put China ahead in the 71st minute: Han Duan was at the end of the connection and shot the ball into the back of the net making it 2-1, and that's how it remained until the final whistle.
