Jiang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice-President of BOCOG

The Executive Vice-President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games spoke to reporters about the Paralympics.

Jiang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice-President of BOCOG, said "We welcome people from Taiwan to participate in the torch relay. And we've invited several foreign torchbearers to participate."

Jiang Xiaoyu stressed the importance of suitable facilities for the athletes participating in the Paralympics.

Jiang Xiaoyu said, "As one example, the volleyball games for people with disabilities require a special venue. In fact, converting many venues after the Summer Games is a top priority as improved facilities for disabled people are needed."

Jiang Xiaoyu adds that after the Summer Olympics, volunteers and other service personnel will be quickly reorganized for the Paralympics.
