China tops Olympic medal tally with 51 golds

Zou Shiming -- the 2004 bronze medalist -- grabbed China's first-ever Olympic boxing gold when he defeated Serdamba Purevdorj of Mongolia in the 48-kilogram class in the second round.

In the men's 81-kilogram boxing class, Zhang Xiaoping defeated Ireland's Kenny Egan 11 to 7 -- to win another gold for China.

In other boxing classes, Nkhbat Badar-Uugan of Mongolia won gold in the 54-kilogram division. The gold medal in the 60-kilogram class went to Russia's Alexy Tishchenko. The winner of the gold in the 69-kilogram class was Bakhyt Sarsekbayev of Khazkstan. And Roberto Cammarelle of Italy beat China's Zhang Zhilei to win gold in the 91-kilogram class.
