Golf Gleneagles: Havret two shots clear
Adjust font size:

France's Gregory Havret takes an early two-shot lead in the first round of the Johnnie Walker Championship in Gleneagles, Scotland. On Thursday, Havret posted a five-under 68 ahead of fellow countryman Christian Cevaer and Britons Paul Broadhurst and Gary Orr.

Havret is here at the fourth with an excellent tee-shot. He had started his round at the tenth and gone through the turn in three-under-par 34. He did drop a shot-the only one at the tenth- but he birdied the fourth, birdied the fifth, and then came this out-for-a-third birdie at the sixth.

As it went - Havret finished the round in 68, five under par and currently two shots clear of compatriot Christian Cevaer and Britons Paul Broadhurst and Gary Orr in joint second place.
