Mirjam de Koning-Peper of the Netherlands set a new Paralympic record to won the gold medal in the Women's 100m Backstroke S-6 with a time of 1 minute, 28.34 seconds.

China's Jiang Fuying won bronze.

China's Jiang Fuying won bronze, with Nyree Lewis of Great Britain taking silver. While in the Men's 100m Backstroke S-6 final, Igor Plotnikov of Russia took gold. China's Yang Yuanrun and Tang Yuan took silver and bronze respectively.
