For many athletes, Paralympic spirit means to do their best, and to stand on the winner's podium.

Some athletes believe that Paralympic spirit also embraces the notion of making a contribution to society, and bringing honor to their homeland.

Wu Qing, Paralympian of China said "I think Paralympic spirit stands for loving your career and being responsible for it. It also means you are serving your country wholeheartedly and doing something good to society in return."

Coaches think fair play and meeting challenges are also important.

Hart Wingkwok, coach of Hong Kong SAR Team said "An environment of fair play is crucial. And both athletes and we coaches should manage to beat challenges. So a fighting spirit is much needed no matter what the match result would be."
